ranging). The function key
is used for manual
measurement range selec-
tion.
If the display cannot be seen
during the measurement or if the
value is fluctuating, the measure-
ment value can be frozen by pres-
sing key .
5.5.1 Test Lead Compensation
When measuring a small resi-
stance value, the test lead resi-
stance is of particular importance.
The UNITEST Hexagon Multi-
meters are equipped with an inte-
grated test lead compensation fea-
ture to eliminate any test lead
resistance values.
❿ Position measurement function
selection switch to measure-
ment range / .
❿ Connect the black test lead to
the COM socket and the red
test lead to the Temp/
/ / socket.
❿ Make contact between both
test probes. The present test
lead resistance value is display-
ed.
❿ Press the key . Shrt is
displayed on the screen. The
termination of the compensati-
on function is indicated by a
double signal sound.
