Z Settings on the light source
and the optical power meter
must no longer be changed.
❿ Remove test leads from mea-
surement coupling.
Do not look into free cable
ends!
❿ Connect one end of the UUT
with the first measurement
coupling and the other end with
the second measurement cou-
pling.
❿ Connect the free end of the
second measurement coupling
to the free end of the second
measurement cable.
❿ The insertion loss value can
now be read on the multimeter.
In our example the value mea-
sured amounts to -0,83 dB.
For safety reasons, the user is
kindly requested to switch off
the light source after completi-
on of measurements. When
removing the connections
never directly look into the free
cable ends!
