Z The multimeter automatically
selects the most appropriate
measurement range (auto
ranging). The function key
is used for manual
measurement range selec-
tion.
If the display cannot be seen
during the measurement or if the
value is fluctuating, the measure-
ment value can be frozen by pres-
sing key .
5.3 Diode Test
Prior to any diode test, it must
be ensured, that the diode to
be tested is not live. Failure to
comply with this prescription
can lead to dangerous corpo-
ral user injuries or cause
instrument damage. Additio-
nally, foreign voltages falsify
the measurement result.
Z Resistors and semiconductor
paths in parallel to the diode
cause falsified measurement
results.
