5.7 Current Measurement
A , mA und mA
Ensure that the measurement
circuit is not live when
connecting the measurement
instrument.
After instrument fuse tripping
eliminate the cause for the trip-
ping prior to fuse replace-
ment..
❿ Select the respective measure-
ment range A , mA
or mA , depending on the
current value to be expected,
by means of measurement fun-
ction selection switch. If the
value to be measured is un-
known, the highest A
measurement range has to be
selected.
❿ Connect the black test lead with
the COM socket and the red
test lead with the A, mA or
mAsocket.
❿ Select the current value to be
expected by using the key
.
❿ Connect test leads to UUT.
❿ Read the measurement value
on the display screen.
Z The multimeter automatically
selects the most appropriate
measurement range (auto
ranging). The function key
is used for manual
measurement range selec-
tion.
If the display cannot be seen
during the measurement or if the
value is fluctuating, the measure-
ment value can be frozen by pres-
sing the key .
