Pretest Procedures
Electrical Pretest
Overview
This test will verify that all electrical connections to the VORAD
®
VS-400 Forward Looking Radar (FLR) and the Driver Interface Unit (DIU)
are correct for proper operation. This test should be performed before beginning any of the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) isolation
procedures.
Note: Refer to the Side Object Detection section for information on testing the Side Object Detection electrical connections.
 • Neverinserttestleadprobes,nails,orpaperclipsintothevehicleharnessconnectorterminals,asthiscandistortordamagethe
wire terminals.
 • Neverpiercewireinsulationtotestcircuits,asthiscanresultindamagedwiresandwirecorrosion.
 • Whenmakingresistancechecksoncircuits,makesurethevehicleignitionisofftopreventdamagetotestequipmentandvehicle
components.
