Selecting the Shooting Mode
Rotate the mode dial to select one of the eight shooting modes:
No. Icon Mode Description
1. Program The camera automatically configures the
appropriate settings, so you can capture images
with ease.
2. Shutter
Priority
You can choose a shutter speed, while the aperture
value is automatically determined by the lighting
condition of the subject. See "Using Shutter Priority
mode" on page 29 for details.
3. Aperture
Priority
You can choose an aperture value, while the
shutter speed is automatically determined by the
lighting condition of the subject. See "Using
Aperture Priority mode" on page 29 for details.
4. Manual Lets you set both aperture and shutter speed
manually. See "Using Manual mode" on page 29 for
details.
5. Continuous
Shooting
Lets you capture a series of shots with a single press
of the Shutter button. See "Using Continuous
Shooting mode" on page 30 for details.
6. Panorama Lets you create a panoramic photo from three
shots. See "Using Panorama mode" on page 30 for
details.
7. Scene
Mode
Lets you select the desired scene mode that suits
your shooting environment. See "Setting the Scene
mode" on page 32 for details.
