The speaker
is unable to
produce
sound and the
microphone is
unable to
receive any
audio input
after
connecting to
PC via audio
cable.
1.If audio cable is used to connect to a laptop:
• For MAC computer or tablet: please go to
Sound > Input > switch to External
Microphone; Output > switch to External
Headphones.
• For Windows PC: please turn on Sound
settings > Input > switch to Headset; Output >
switch to speaker/headphone.
• If no audio input is received by microphone, please
double check if the audio jack in the laptop supports
4PIN audio cables.
• Please make sure the 3.5 mm plugs on both sides of
the stereo cable are fully plugged into the speaker
and laptop.
• Please make sure the volume level of treVolo U is
not set to lowest.
• If there is absolutely no sound, please make sure the
laptop is not muted and turn up the volume level.
• If the sound quality is underperformed, please turn
down the volume level to appropriate level.
• Try different audio cables.
• treVolo U uses a high-sensitivity microphone;
therefore, please do not use it in an extremely short
distance (<5cm). The protection mechanism may be
activated by excessively high volume and cause the
microphone to turn off its audio. If this problem
occurs, disconnect and reconnect the 3.5mm audio
cable to the device.
2.If an audio cable is used to connect a desktop:
• When playing music or video, please plug the audio
cable into the green audio jack of the PC.
• The speaker's microphone is unable to receive
audio input as a general desktop computer in not
compatible with CTIA 4PIN headphone cable.
