4. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT LITHIUM IRON PHOSPHATE BATTERIES
The lithium iron phosphate battery (LiFePO4) is the safest in the family of lithium ion batteries,
it is high-current capable, universally applicable and has a low weight compared to lead, gel or
AGM batteries
In addition, the latest lithium-iron technology offers a high degree of intrinsic safety, eliminating
the risk of explosion even under the most extreme conditions
An in-built battery management system (BMS) also protects the battery cells from damage
• 100% maintenance-free
• 1:1 interchangeable with lead, gel and AGM batteries
• When using your charger/charging booster, please observe the charging and discharging para-
meters according to the battery data sheet
• Environmentally friendly, no lead, no acid
• Recyclable!
5. GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
To avoid danger to you, please observe the following instructions before using the bat-
teries.
• Please observe these instructions and keep them close to the LiFePO4 battery for future refe-
rence Work on the LiFePO4 battery should only be carried out by specialists
• The connections of the LiFePO4 battery are always live Therefore, never place tools or objects
on the LiFePO4 battery Avoid short circuits, deep discharges or excessive charging currents
Only use insulated tools when working on the battery
• In the event of fire, use a class D fire extinguisher, foam or CO
2
fire extinguisher
• If a LiFePO4 battery is discharged too deeply, it will be damaged and can become dangerous
Avoid deep discharges by silent consumers by installing a safety relay or circuit breaker
• If a LiFePO4 battery is recharged after a deep discharge or overcharge, a harmful gas mixture
such as phosphate can be released
• Never attempt to open the LiFePO4 battery The safely packaged electrolyte of the cells is
corrosive LiFePO4 batteries are lighter than conventional lead, AGM or gel batteries, but can
become a projectile in the event of an accident!
• Failure to comply with the instructions for use in the event of improper repair will invalidate the
warranty
