Berkeley S.A.E. - Verify Pump Rotation; Importance of Correct Rotation; Methods for Checking Rotation

• Before pump is put into operation, rotational direction must
be verified to assure proper performance of pump.
• Standard engine rotation is clockwise.
• Pump running backward: Centrifugal pumps will still pump
liquids, however, GPM and head will be a fraction of the
published performance.
• Threaded impellers may loosen.
