INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on the purchase of your new bernette
sewing machine. The information in this workbook will
help you learn the basics of using your new machine.
This workbook is designed to be used as a step-by-step
guide to familiarize you with the basic operation of your
bernette sewing machine. Once you have completed the
exercises designated for your machine, attach the sewn
samples to the information pages (or add a facing page
for mounting) and insert the pages into plastic page
protectors to store in a 3-ring binder. They can then be
used as a reference tool in the future as you use your
machine and explore the creative possibilities it affords.
Each page with a stitching exercise ends with a “Sew
How” box. This mini-quiz will let you test your knowledge
and review the points related to the exercise.
Taking the class is just the rst step. Using the information
on a regular basis will help make it become part of your
