3.3 SERVICE BRAKE
In the 25 km/h version, the machine has a hydraulic
braking system provided by cylinders.
In the 40 km/h version (VANTAGE 43-46,55-60,67-
71), the machine has a pneumatic braking system
performed by diaphragm chambers.
In this case, it is necessary to adjust the pressure of
the circuit according to the load and the tyres.
This adjustment is done in the factory but you can
do it again by following this procedure:
You must rst determine the pressure in the circuit
using the table below:

Locate the braking corrector (1).
Use an appropriate pressure gauge (0 - 6 bar) tted
on a male connection M16 x 1.50.
Tighten the pressure gauge on the outlet (3) from the
diaphragm chamber (2).
Put the braking circuit under air pressure, using the
tractor's circuit.
Untighten the screw (4) and adjust the rod (5) on the
braking corrector in order to obtain a lever arm of
approximately 165 mm (6) for a VANTAGE 43 - 46
or approximately 182 mm (6) for a VANTAGE 55 - 60
or 67 - 71.
Finish the adjustment of the rod (5) in order to obtain
the desired pressure on the pressure gauge.
NOTE:
After each modication of the length of the
lever arm, release the brake pedal and then
press it again to apply the modication.

Warning
496901-B
This vehicle is equipped with a braking system with pressure
adjustment controlled by the load and determined for a fitted set of
tyres.
It is imperative to contact the manufacturer if this set of fitted tyres
is modified, in order to obtain the following technical information:
- Possible compatibility of this new set of tyres with the vehicle.
- Possible adjustment of the pressure, controlled by the load to be
applied
32
Check the value of the pressure one last time.
Re-tighten the screw (4) to x the rod (5).
The warning sticker for the service brake (7) is
positioned near the rod
