Approval Number
The Telecode TC5000 system (TC5000) has been approved
for connection to telecommunications systems specified in
these instructions for use and subject to the conditions set out
in them. The approval number is 503935.
Approval type
The TC5000 has been approved to NTR3 for use with direct
exchange lines and compatible PABXs.
B.T. Circuits
The apparatus is approved for connection to the Public
Switched Telephone Network provided by British
Telecommunications plc, Kingston-upon-Hull City Council
and Mercury Communications Ltd.
REN
REN ( Ringer Equivalence Number ) is a value given to all
apparatus which can be connected to the PSTN. The REN is
used to calculate the number of pieces of apparatus which may
be connected simultaneously to a single PSTN line, without
impairing the performance of the standard bell circuit.
The RENs of all simultaneously connected apparatus should
not exceed 4.0 on any single PSTN line.
The TC5000 has a REN of 1.0
