3.5 Adjustment controls
3.5.1 Sensitivity potentiometer
The potentiometer is used to set the amplification of the
flame signal in the flame scanner. The adjustment cannot
be carried out during the operation as the potentiometer is
located behind the lens plate. Remove the yellow protec-
tive sticker on the lens plate for adjustment. The scanner
type 2.0GT has been fitted with two potentiometers. The
potentiometer located near to the lens plate be used to
set the PbS scanner for the spectral range 1050 - 2700
nm. The potentiometer located away from the lens plate is
used to set the Si scanner for the spectral range 300 to
1050 nm.
The following applies for both potentiometers: Increase of
sensitivity by turning clockwise !
The potentiometers are set from 0 to 100 per cent by turn-
ing 24 full turns. It is not possible to overturn the potenti-
ometer.
