2.2 Alarm output
The Alarm Box AB 01 is equipped at its rear with a zero-voltage relay alarm output via DIN socket (6) The
alarm output is switched by APT-COM™ 3 as soon as one or more supervised temperature chambers
are running with their actual value(s) out of the entered tolerance bandwidth.

Pin allocation at the DIN socket

If there is no alarm message, Pin 1 and 2 are closed.
The zero-voltage relay alarm output is switched with a delay.
Wiring allocation of the delivered connection cable with DIN plug:
Pin 1 of DIN-plug ---- brown wire
Pin 2 of DIN-plug ---- white wire
Pin 3 of DIN-plug ---- not used
Maximum loading capacity of the switching contact: 24V AC/DC - 2,5A
DANGER
Electrical hazard.
Danger of death.
Damage to switching contact and connection socket.
Do NOT exceed the maximum switching load of 24V AC/DC – 2.5A.
Do NOT connect any devices with a higher loading capacity.
2.3 Interface RS 422
The 25-pin SUB-D interface socket (7) of the Alarm Box AB 01 serves to receive the alarm message
released by APT-COM™ 3. The interface settings are fixed inside the unit and can not be changed.
The interface address for correct configuration of the Alarm Box on APT-COM™ 3 window
“Configure“ is fixed as No. 30.
