OPERATION
ROTATING FORMING DRUM AND PADDLE
TO AVOID SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY
• NEVER Touch This Forming Machine Without Training and Authorization By Your Supervisor.
• ALWAYS Read The Former Operation and Parts Manual BEFORE Operating, Cleaning or Servicing.
• DO NOT Attempt to Operate This Forming Machine Until it has Been Inspected and Demonstrated by the
Seller - Recognized BIRO Representative.
• DO NOT Alter or Modify This Forming Machine in any Way From its Original Form.
• NEVER Attempt to Open Hopper Cover While Former is Running.
• ALWAYS Keep Hands Clear of the Rotating Drum and Other Moving Parts.
• ALWAYS Clean and Inspect Machine Daily.
• ALWAYS Turn O, Unplug the Former From Power Source and Perform Lockout/Tagout Procedure to This
Machine BEFORE Cleaning, Servicing or Any Other Reason.
• NEVER Leave Fomer Unattended While the Former is Running.
• PROMPTLY REPLACE Any Worn or Illegible Warning Labels.
• USE ONLY BIRO Parts and Accessories Properly Installed.
• NEVER Attempt to Open Forming Drum Cover While Former is Running.
A. TO PROCESS PRODUCT
2. Before starting F1000N, have a container or tray for receiving patties at the end of conveyor belt.
3. Plug machine into appropriate and properly grounded power source.
4. Open Hopper Cover and insert product into the hopper. Close and lock cover.
5. With all components properly installed, Hopper Cover and Drum Cover in operating positions.
Turn Main Power Switch, ¼ turn clockwise to “I”.
6. You will hear the cooling fan and notice the start button ashes green once.
1. Before operating F1000N, machine should be cleaned and inspected. Chill the product to a temperature of
29° F. as a starting point. Raise the temperature as required, depending on the product and any additives, to
achieve optimum forming consistency.
7. Press start button when you are ready to start the F1000N.
• ONLY Operate the Former on a Solid, Level, Non-Skid Surface.
8. When nished, press red stop button, turn Main Power Switch, ¼ turn counterclockwise to “0”
and unplug F1000N from power source and perform lockout/tagout procedures.
a. It is recommended to stop machine with the paddle away from the internal hopper pins for paddle removal.
a. Use Wire Cleaner as necessary. Slide cursor while wire is away from the drum.
