4.5 Setting up communication with
ECOSTAR
The different types of communication
require different data cables and con-
nections. For the electrical connec-
tions of the data lines at the controller,
see chapter 4.2.
Communication via the BEST
Software
Requirements:
• Mobile device
- equipped with the operating sys-
tem Windows XP or newer
- equipped with USB port or
- equipped with bluetooth
• The BEST software can be down-
loaded for free from the BITZER
website (www.bitzer.de).
• Data connection
- USB 2.0:
A plug/Mini-B-USB plug (cable
length max. 2 m )
- Bluetooth 4.0:
Range approx. 30 m
Setting up communication:
• Switch on controller at the main
switch.
• Switch on computer and start
BEST Software.
A window of the available devices
opens.
• Select ECOSTAR.
Click the
CONNECT button.
• Only with connection via bluetooth:
Enter authorization code of the
installer (factory setting: 2).
The C
ONFIGURATION menu appears
with window M
AIN SETUP. The
ECOSTAR condensing unit is now
connected with to the computer.
The predecessor models (LHV6) do
not communicate with the BEST Soft-
ware.

ECOSTAR
Différents câbles de données et diffé-
rentes connexions sont nécessaires pour
les différents types de communication.

Communication via le BEST Software
Conditions préalables:
• Terminal mobile
- doté du système d'exploitation Win-
dows XP ou plus récent
- avec connexion USB ou
- avec Bluetooth
• Le logiciel BEST peut être téléchargé
gratuitement à partir du site BITZER
(www.bitzer.de).
• Connexion de données
- USB 2.0:
connecteur A/USB mini B (longueur
max. de câble 2 m)
- Bluetooth 4.0:
portée environ 30 m
Configurer la communication:
• Mettre en marche le régulateur par l'in-
terrupteur principal.
• Allumer l'ordinateur et démarrer le
BEST Software.
Une fenêtre s'ouvre affichant les appa-
reils disponibles.
• Sélectionner ECOSTAR.
Cliquer sur le bouton
CONNECT.
• Uniquement en cas de connexion via
Bluetooth: Saisir le code d'autorisation
du monteur (réglage d'usine: 2).
Le menu C
ONFIGURATION s'ouvre affichant
la fenêtre M
AIN SETUP. Le groupe de
condensation ECOSTAR est maintenant
connecté à l'ordinateur.
Les types précédents (LHV6) ne commu-
niquent pas avec le BEST Software.

A-Stecker/Mini-B-USB-Stecker
(Kabellänge max. 2 m )
- Bluetooth 4.0:
Reichweite etwa 30 m
Kommunikation einrichten:
• Regler am Hauptschalter einschal-
ten.
• Rechner einschalten und BEST
Software starten.
Ein Anzeigefenster der verfügbaren
Geräte öffnet sich.
• ECOSTAR auswählen.
Schaltfläche
VERBINDEN anklicken.
• Nur bei Verbindung über Bluetooth:
Berechtigungscode des Monteurs
eingeben (Werkseinstellung: 2).

AUPTEINSTELLUNGEN erscheint. Der
ECOSTAR Verflüssigungssatz ist jetzt
mit dem Rechner verbunden.
Die Vorgängertypen (LHV6) kommuni-
zieren nicht mit der BEST Software.
