The BPS2000v2 Monitoring Power Distribution Unit (PDU) is designed for efficient power distribution and comprehensive monitoring of electrical parameters in IT, ICT, and Data Center environments. It also facilitates the monitoring of environmental conditions within server racks.
Function Description
The BPS2000v2 PDU provides power distribution and real-time monitoring of various electrical parameters at the power input. This includes supply voltage, total current load, total active, reactive, and apparent power consumption. The unit features integrated power consumption meters and measures the power factor (cosφ).
A key feature is its new generation, replaceable control and measurement module, which operates in "hot swappable" technology. This module incorporates a built-in LCD display that shows information on power supply voltage, current load, active power consumption, and energy consumption.
The unit supports SNMP (v1/v2c/v3), ModBus RTU, and ModBus TCP protocols, allowing for full integration with external management software. This enables remote management, alarm configuration, network settings, and remote device restarts via a built-in web server accessible through a web browser. The web interface is available in both Polish and English.
The BPS2000v2 can be connected in a master/slave serial chain, with a maximum of 6 units (1 master and 5 slaves) for SNMP protocol. The master unit's IN port connects to the SLAVE1 unit's OUT port, and subsequent slave units are connected similarly. The master unit's NET port connects to the network.

Usage Features
- LCD Display Interface:
- 250V Single Phase Version: Displays phase (L1), load (A), voltage (V), active power (kW), and energy (kWh). Also shows power factor (PF) and the unit's IP address. Allows setting of threshold values for load, voltage, temperature, and humidity.
- 400V Three Phase Version: Provides detailed readings for each phase (L1, L2, L3) including load (A), voltage (V), active power (kW), energy (kWh), and power factor (PF). Displays the unit's IP address and allows setting of threshold values for each phase's load, voltage, temperature, and humidity.
- Web Browser Access: The unit has a factory-set IP address (192.168.0.163) and default login credentials (username: admin, password: admin). The web interface allows monitoring of current load, supply voltage, active power, apparent power, reactive power, frequency, active energy, apparent energy, power factor, temperature, and humidity. It also provides configuration options for alarm thresholds and master/slave settings.
- Telnet Protocol Access: Supports access via Telnet, requiring an application like PuTTY. Users can log in with default credentials (admin/admin) and execute commands to show information, set time/date, manage users, configure network settings (SNMP, HTTP, SMTP, Modbus), set threshold values, clear energy phase data, and restart/logout.
- SNMP Protocol Access: Enables communication via SNMP v1/v2c/v3. Configuration is done through the web interface. The unit provides a comprehensive OID table for monitoring various parameters, including current, voltage, power (active, reactive, apparent), frequency, energy (active, apparent), power factor, temperature, humidity, and door status for both master and slave units.
- Modbus TCP/RTU Protocol Access:
- Modbus TCP: Available on port 502 (configurable). Allows connection of multiple power units.
- Modbus RTU: Uses RJ45/RS485 ports for cascade/chain connection of up to 32 units. Default transmission attributes are 9600bps, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. The Modbus RTU/TCP memory map provides detailed registry addresses for all monitored parameters, including total voltage, total current, active power, reactive power, apparent power, frequency, power factor, active energy, apparent energy, temperature, humidity, and door status.
- Environmental Monitoring: Supports optional accessories like temperature and humidity sensors, door opening sensors, smoke sensors, and flood sensors, which connect to the SensorBox module (1134SBX01) via RJ12 ports. The SensorBox then connects to the PDU's SB port.
Maintenance Features
- Factory Configuration Reset: The unit can be reset to factory settings (IP address 192.168.0.163, login/password admin/admin) by removing the control module, holding down the MENU button for 6 seconds while reinserting the module, and then releasing the button.
- Software Update: The BPS2000v2 software can be updated using a TFTP application (e.g., tftp32) and a software update file. The process involves ensuring a stable Ethernet connection, logging into the web interface, enabling software updates in the System Tools tab, and then using the TFTP client to upload the update file.
- Event Log: The web interface includes an event log that records user actions such as logging in, changing alarm thresholds, etc. The log buffer clears after 500 entries.
- Warranty: Devices are covered by a quality warranty, with specific terms and conditions regarding manufacturing defects, improper use, external factors, and notification procedures. The warranty period is 24 months for the BPS2000/BPS2000v2 monitoring power distribution unit and BKT Temperature and Humidity sensor.
