Theft protection
CODE theft protection
Your device is equipped with a four-digit
code number for protection against theft.
This number must be entered whenever the
device has been separated from the operat-
ing voltage of the vehicle. The code query
is deactivated by default, but it can be ac-
tivated.
Note:
If the code query is activated, the Code
LED ? starts fl ashing if the device as
well as the vehicle ignition are switched
off.
The code number is located in the radio
pass for your device.
Note:
Never keep the radio pass inside the
vehicle!
Switching code query on/off
(CODE)
Press the MENU button 7.
Press the
or button 8 repea-
tedly until "CODE" and the current
setting "ON" or "OFF" appear on the
display 6.
Press the
or button 8.
The display 6 shows "0000". Enter the
code:
Note:
If you enter the wrong code number,
"0000" is shown again on the display
6. You can repeat the entry twice.
After the third incorrect entry, the de-
vice is locked for 1 hour. During this
time, the display 6 shows "WAIT
쏅
쏅
쏅
1HR". If you switch off the device dur-
ing this wait period, you have to wait
again for a full hour after switching it
on again.
Press the station button 1 < repeat-
edly until the fi rst digit of your code
number appears on the display 6.
Press the station button 2 < repeat-
edly until the second digit of your code
number appears on the display 6.
Press the station button 3 < repeat-
edly until the third digit of your code
number appears on the display 6.
Press the station button 4 < repeat-
edly until the fourth digit of your code
number appears on the display 6.
Once the correct code number appears
on the display 6, press and hold the
station button 5 < for longer than
2 seconds.
The display 6 shows "CODE" again and
the current setting "ON" or "OFF".
Press the
or button 8 to switch
the code query on or off.
To exit the menu,
press the MENU button 7.
