Switching the display of track
information as scrolling text on/off
To switch the display of track information as
scrolling text on or off,
press the MENU button 7.
Press the
or button 8 repeated-
ly until "SCRL" and the current setting
"ON" or "OFF" appear on the display
6.
Press the
or button 8 to switch
scrolling text on or off.
To exit the menu,
press the MENU button 7.
With the setting "SCRL OFF", the track in-
formation is shown in segments of 8 char-
acters each on the display 6. For this pur-
pose, every text segment as well as track
number and playing time are intermittently
displayed for 5 seconds each.
Note:
The setting "SCRL ON/OFF" also affects
the display of MP3 track information
(ID3 tags) in MP3 mode accordingly.
Selecting tracks
Press the or button 8 to change
to the previous or next track.
If you press the
button 8 once, the cur-
rent track will be played again from the be-
ginning.
Fast searching (audible)
To fast search backwards or forwards,
press and hold down the
or but-
ton 8 until you reach the desired po-
sition.

Random track play (MIX)
Press the 3 button <.
The display 6 briefl y shows "MIX CD" and
the MIX symbol appears. The next tracks
are selected in random order.
Cancelling MIX
Press the 3 button < again.
The display 6 briefl y shows "MIX OFF" and
the MIX symbol disappears. Normal play-
back is then resumed.
Scanning tracks (SCAN)
To scan all the tracks of the CD for approx.
10 seconds each,
press the 4 button <.
"SCAN TRK" briefl y appears on the display.
During the scanning, the "CD" display fl ash-
es. The track number and playing time of
the current track or its track information is
displayed.
Cancelling SCAN and continuing
listening to a track
To end the scan process,
press the 4 button < again.
"SCAN OFF" briefl y appears on the display.
The current track continues playing.
Repeating tracks (RPT)
Press the 2 button <.
"RPT TRK" appears briefl y on the display
and the RPT symbol is displayed. The cur-
rent track is repeated continuously until you
deactivate RPT.
