Selecting the waveband/memory
bank
This device can be used to receive pro-
grams of the frequency bands FM, MW and
LW (for EUROPE) or FM and AM (for NAFTA
countries). Three memory banks are avail-
able for the FM waveband and one mem-
ory bank each for the wavebands MW, LW
or AM. Six stations can be stored in each
memory bank.
Selecting the memory bank
To switch between memory banks (FM1,
FM2, FMTS, MW and LW or AM),
press the
button 4 repeatedly until
the desired memory bank is displayed.
Tuning into a station
There are various ways of tuning into a sta-
tion.
Automatic station seek tuning
Briefl y press the button << 3 or >>
6.
The radio tunes into the next receivable sta-
tion.
Manual station tuning with remote
buttons
You can also tune into stations manually.
This requires switching to "MANUAL".
For further details, please read "AUTO/
MANUAL" in the section "Radio menu" in
this chapter.
Tuning into stations manually
press the button << 3 or >> 6 re-
peatedly until the frequency of the de-
sired station is displayed.
Storing stations
Storing stations manually
Use the
button 4 to select the de-
sired memory bank FM1, FM2 , FMTS,
MW or LW or AM.
Press the
button 5 repeatedly until
the desired memory bank "P1...P6" is
displayed.
Tune into the station (see "Tuning into
a station").
Press and hold down the
button 5
for longer than two seconds.
Storing stations automatically
(Travelstore)
You can automatically store the six stations
offering the strongest reception in the re-
gion (FM only). The stations are stored in
the FMTS memory bank.
Note:
Any stations that were previously
stored in this memory bank are deleted
in the process.
Use the
button 4 to select the
memory bank FMTS.
Hold the
button 4 pressed until a
beep sounds.
The storing procedure begins. After the
process has completed, the radio will play
the station that is stored in memory bank 1
of the FMTS memory bank.
Listening to stored stations
Use the
button 4 to select the de-
sired memory bank.
