Convenient RDS functions
(AF, REG)
The convenient RDS functions AF (Alterna-
tive Frequency) and REG (Regional) extend
the range of functions of your device.
AF: If the AF function is activated, the de-
vices automatically searches in the back-
ground for the best receivable frequency of
the set station.
REG: Some stations divide their programs
into regional programs at certain times.
You can use the REG function to prevent
the radio from switching to alternative fre-
quencies that are transmitting different
programme content.
Note:
With activated REG function, the radio
attempts to receive the regional pro-
gram of the set station as long as pos-
sible. When you leave the broadcast
area of a regional program, you should
switch off REG.
Switching the AF function on/off
The AF function is switched on or off in the
Radio menu or DSC menu. For further de-
tails, please read the "Radio menu" section
in this chapter and "DSC menu" at the end
of the instructions.
