CD changer mode (option)
Two CD changers CDC (24 volt) can be
connected to the CPA 121 as accessories
(not part of the scope of delivery). One CD
changer can be connected to the CPA 81.
Caution!
When connecting the CD changer IDC A 09
(12 V),
unplug the connector in the connecting
cable of the IDC.
Insert the supplied two-conductor cable
with fuse holder into the connector.
Connect the operating voltage (+, -)
for the changer (12 V/min. 3 A) to the
two free ends of the cable via a voltage
transformer (see also the Changer Op-
erating Instructions, Fig. 1).

CDs and operating the CD changer can
be found in the operating instructions
supplied with your CD changer.
Switching to CD-changer mode
Press the button CDC D for the cock-
pit or CDC ? for the cabin area again.
The playback starts with the fi rst track of
the fi rst CD.
Changing between CD changer
1 and 2
Press the button CDC D for the cock-
pit or CDC ? for the cabin area again.
The respective other CD changer is acti-
vated.

CD-changer mode
Selecting CDs
To move up or down to another CD,
press the button
5 or 4 once
or several times.
Selecting tracks
To move down or up to another track on the
current CD,
press the button << 3 or >> 6 once
or several times.
Fast seek tuning (audible)
To fast search backwards or forwards,
press and hold down the button <<
3 or >> 6 until fast searching back-
wards/forwards begins.
Fast searching ends if you release the re-
spective button again.
Random track play (Mix)
You can play all the tracks of a CD in ran-
dom order. The MIX function must be ac-
tivated for this purpose. The MIX function
can be set separately for each connected
CD changer.
The setting is always performed for the ac-
tive CD changer. For further details, please
read the section "CDC menu" in this chap-
ter.
CDC menu
All functions of the CD changer mode can
be controlled with the buttons 3 - 6 as
well as the CDC menu.
