Fast searching (audible)
To fast search backwards or forwards,
keep one of the / buttons :
pressed until fast searching back-
wards / forwards begins.
Random track play (MIX)
Mix directory
You can play all the tracks in the cur-
rent directory at random:
Press button 5 MIX >.
“MIX DIR” appears in the display. The
next randomly selected track in the cur-
rent directory will then be played.
Mix MMC/SD
You can play all the tracks on a MMC/
SD at random:
Keep pressing the 5 MIX button >
until “MIX MMC” appears in the
display.
The next randomly selected track will
then be played.
Cancelling MIX
Keep pressing the 5 MIX button >
until “MIX OFF” appears in the dis-
play.
The device plays track 1 in the current
directory.
Repeating tracks or directories
(REPEAT)
If you want to repeat a track,
press button 4 RPT >.
“REPEAT TRCK” appears briefly in the
display.
To repeat the whole directory,
press the 4 RPT button > again.
“REPEAT DIR” appears briefly in the
display.
Deactivating REPEAT
To stop the current track or current di-
rectory from being repeated,
keep pressing the 4 RPT button >
until “REPEAT OFF” appears brief-
ly in the display.
Pausing playback (PAUSE)
Press button 3 >.
“PAUSE” appears in the display.
Cancelling pause
Press button 3 > while in
pause mode.
Playback is resumed.
Recording DAB programmes on
MMCs/SDs
You can use this device to record a DAB
programme onto an inserted MMC/SD.
The DAB data stream is then stored as
an MPEG file on the MMC/SD
(MPEG 1, Layer 2).
Before starting to record, you should
make sure that there is sufficient space
on the inserted MMC/SD and that the
MMC/SD does not have more than 254
directories stored on it.
The only supported file system for mak-
ing recordings is FAT16. If you attempt
to record onto an MMC/SD that is for-
matted differently, you will see “UNFOR-
MATTED” appear in the display. In this
