DAB mode
You can enjoy radio in digital audio qual-
ity thanks to DAB (Digital Audio Broad-
cast).
Switching to DAB mode
If you are in radio, CD, MMC, CD chang-
er, Microdrive™ or AUX mode,
➮ press the DAB•T button 4.
In contrast to standard radio broadcast-
ing, there are always several pro-
grammes broadcast over the same fre-
quency in the case of DAB. These pro-
grammes are arranged in “Ensembles”.
One ensemble always contains sever-
al programmes.
In turn, a programme can additionally
contain up to twelve sub-programmes.
In the case of a sports station, for in-
stance, various sports events can be
broadcast simultaneously as sub-pro-
grammes. If a station broadcasts sub-
programmes, a star symbol is displayed
next to the memory bank (D1, D2, D3
or DT).
DAB also offers further advantages:
● NEWS:
News reports are provided regular-
ly in addition to the traffic an-
nouncements. If you wish, you can
allow the news reports to be
played.
Switching NEWS on/off
➮ Press the MENU button 8.
➮ Keep pressing the or button
: until “DAB_NEWS_OFF” or
“DAB_NEWS_ON” appears in the
display.
If you wish to receive news reports, se-
lect “DAB_NEWS_ON”. If you do not
wish to receive news reports, select
“DAB_NEWS_OFF”.
➮ Set the required setting using the
and buttons :.
➮ When you have finished making
your changes, press the MENU
button 8 or OK ;.
● WEATHER:
Weather reports are provided regu-
larly in addition to the traffic an-
nouncements. If you wish, you can
allow the weather reports to be
played.
Switching WEATHER on/off
➮ Press the MENU button 8.
➮ Keep pressing the or button
: until “DAB_WEAT_OFF” or
“DAB_WEAT_ON” appears in the
display.
If you wish to receive weather reports,
select “DAB_WEAT_ON”. If you do not
wish to receive weather reports, select
“DAB_WEAT_OFF”.
