DAB-FM traffic information
source
You can set various settings for the traf-
fic information source.
If you select the “TA-AUTO” setting, the
device automatically switches to an in-
coming traffic announcement being
broadcast via DAB (in DAB mode) or
FM (in radio mode). In AUX, Micro-
drive™, MMC, CD and CD changer
mode, traffic announcements from the
source that was active last (either DAB
or Radio) will be played.
If “TA-FM” is set, only FM traffic an-
nouncements will be played.
If “TA-DAB” is set, only incoming DAB
traffic announcements will be played.
➮ Press the MENU button 8.
➮ Keep pressing the or button
: until “TA MODE” appears in the
display.
➮ Press the or button : to
switch between the settings.
➮ Press the MENU button 8 or OK
; twice.
TRAFFIC INFORMATION
TMC for dynamic navigation
systems
TMC stands for “Traffic Message Chan-
nel.” Traffic information announcements
are broadcast digitally using TMC, which
means they can be used by compatible
navigation systems during route plan-
ning. Your car radio has a TMC output
which you can use for connecting Blau-
punkt navigation systems. You can find
out from your Blaupunkt dealer which
navigation systems can be used with
your car radio.
If a navigation system is connected and
a TMC station is being received, TMC
lights up in the display.
If dynamic navigation is active, a TMC
station will be tuned into automatically.
