Why are my Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow functions so slow, even though the pump runs?
    • S
      Susan WhiteAug 18, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories pump runs but the snowplow functions are slow, it could be due to several reasons. Check if the fluid level in the pump reservoir is low and add fluid to within 3/4" from the top of the tank, while also checking for leaks around the pump, manifold, and cylinders. Another cause might be low amperage from the vehicle's alternator; in this case, repair or replace the alternator, noting that the system amperage draw is 65A at 1500 psi. Lastly, the pump filter may be clogged, requiring you to remove the pump tank and thoroughly clean the filter.

What to do if my Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow will not lift, but the pump works?
    • J
      Johnny RodriguezAug 20, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow isn't lifting but the pump is working, check the following: * Ensure the control station in the cab is properly connected to the vehicle harness. * Verify that the A-frame latch is in the raised position, not the locked (down) position. * Inspect the diode loop harness for corrosion; clean it thoroughly or replace it if necessary. * Examine the coils on the manifold for damage. Remove the S6 coil from the cartridge valve and test it with a screwdriver to see if it's magnetically drawn to the coil when pushing the draw latch connect/disconnect toggle switch upward; replace the coil if there's no action.

What to do if my Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow will not lift even with magnification to the S6 coil?
    • A
      Angela WatsonAug 23, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow will not lift even with magnification to the S6 coil, it could be due to a hydraulic lock in the manifold, which happens if the voltage is too low on the coils (should be 11.8 volts). Loosen cartridge valve S6 to relieve pressure and retighten, but do not overtighten it; valves should be torqued to a maximum of 24 ft-lb. Another cause could be a contaminated solenoid cartridge valve. Remove any foreign objects that may be obstructing proper valve operation. Replace the valve if it's not operating properly after cleaning.

    Courtney HortonAug 26, 2025
Why does my Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow drop sporadically?
    • K
      Kristen DuncanAug 26, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow drops sporadically, it may be because the variable flow control valve is opened too far. Turn it clockwise 1/16 turn and test. Warning: The snowplow can fall suddenly. You can die or be seriously injured. Drop snowplow to ground before adjusting flow control.

    Sheri AyalaAug 28, 2025
Why does my Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow lower too slowly?
    • M
      mark36Aug 28, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow lowers too slowly, the variable flow control valve may not be adjusted properly. Turn the flow control valve counterclockwise in small increments and test. Warning: The snowplow can fall suddenly. You can die or be seriously injured. Drop snowplow to ground before adjusting flow control.

    Robert FosterAug 30, 2025
Why will my Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow not stay angled when plowing?
    • V
      Victoria WatsonAug 31, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow won't stay angled when plowing, the angle pressure relief valve might be set too low. Check the pressure relief by testing the valve in-line with the cylinder. Attach a tee fitting to the angle cylinder hydraulic adapter and connect the hose and pressure gauge to the tee. Note: The setting should not exceed 3000 psi.

What to do if my Blizzard Automobile Accessories pump will not run?
    • R
      Ryan BennettSep 2, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories pump isn't running, it might be due to a disconnected snowplow harness. Make sure the harnesses are properly connected to the vehicle harness. Another cause could be improperly connected power or ground cables to the battery, pump, or solenoid. Ensure all cables are properly connected, cleaned, and lubricated with dielectric grease. If power still doesn't resume, check the continuity of all cables to find any breaks.

    David JohnsonSep 4, 2025
What should I do if my Blizzard Automobile Accessories pump will not turn OFF?
    • M
      Monica PowellSep 4, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories pump won't turn off, the solenoid may be damaged. Disconnect the brown/white activation wire from the solenoid. If the problem persists, replace the solenoid. Alternatively, there could be a short in the control or wire harness. Disconnect the control in the cab; if the pump turns off, there is a short in the electrical system.

What to do if the headlamps will not switch from the vehicle to the Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow?
    • B
      Brandon SolisSep 7, 2025
If the headlamps will not switch from the vehicle to the Blizzard Automobile Accessories snowplow, verify the headlamp/ground relay connector is connected. If the connector is properly attached replace the headlamp relay(s). The issue might be due to no power or ground to the headlamp relay.
  • T
    Troy CuevasSep 9, 2025
What to do if my Blizzard Automobile Accessories pump will not run, even with power to the solenoid?
    • D
      Douglas FloresSep 9, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories pump won't run even with power to the solenoid, and the black ground wire and brown/white activation wire on the solenoid are properly connected, the red, hot wire to the pump motor may not be properly connected. Connect the red wire and check the black ground wire. If the problem persists, the solenoid could be inoperable or the pump motor may be worn. Replace the solenoid if there is no power to the pump. Replace the pump motor if it is receiving power.
