If the fill-level indicator reaches
the 1/2-mark 1, the fuel tank
is half-full. From then on, the
fill-level will be displayed more
accurately.
The fuel warning light shows
when the fuel level drops to re-
serve.
Fuel reserve
The quantity of fuel in the fuel
tank after the fuel warning light
comes on is dependent on
driving dynamics: the more the
fuel moves inside the tank (due
to frequently changing bank
angles, frequent braking and
acceleration), the more difficult
it becomes to determine the
reserve quantity. However, the
tank will contain at least the
reserve quantity stated on the
inside of the back cover.

After the fuel warning light
comes on, the distance that
has travelled since this time is
displayed.
The distance that can still be
travelled using the reserve quant-
ity depends on the style of riding
(usage) and the amount of fuel
remaining at the time the light
came on (see explanation above).
After a refuelling stop, the dis-
tance counter for reserve fuel is
reset if the amount of fuel in the
tank is greater than the reserve
quantity.
Ambient-temperature
reading
with on-board computer
OE
If the outside temperature
drops below 3 °C the tem-
perature display flashes to draw
your attention to the risk of black
ice forming. The display auto-
matically switches from any other
mode to the temperature read-
ing when the temperature drops
below this threshold for the first
time.
When the motorcycle is at a
standstill, the heat of the engine
can falsify the ambient-tempera-
ture reading. If the effect of the
engine's heat becomes excess-
ive, "--" temporarily appears on
the display.
