1 Safety Instructions
Warning! The specifications and instructions contained in the documentation must
be complied with strictly during installation and commissioning. Only
qualified staff who has read and understood the documentation is
allowed to carry out installation or commissionin
g work or to operate the
devices.
The safety instructions must be complied with.
The term “Qualified Staff” refers to anybody who is familiar with the
installation, assembly, commissioning and operation of the frequency
inverter and has the proper qualification for the job.
Warning! • The requirements to be met to ensure the safety of persons and to
protect material property are stipulated in national and international
re
gulation. The control system must ensure that, in the case of a
failure, the application is brought to defined, reliable and safe state.
•
The frequency must be integrated in the control system in a way that
ensures that an error is detected and signaled in due time and the
application is shut off.
• For the instructions on safe handlin
g and safe operation of the
frequency inverter to be complied with, refer to the correspondin
operating instructions.
• Remote parameterization and remote maintenance of the frequenc
y
inverters may influence the operating behavior via the remote
connection. Additionally, the control software enables a control of the
application via the remote connection.
For safety reasons this may only be done if, during the remote
connection, the plant / application is monitored on site by sufficiently
qualified staff in order to make sure that the plant can be shut off by
overriding safety functions in an emergency.
