5 Installation of Software
5.1 Configuration of the Operating System for the Modem
The configuration procedure depends on the operating system installed. For the
configuration steps required for the 32-bit Windows operating systems
− Windows 95/98
− Windows ME
− Windows NT
− Windows 2000 and
− Windows XP
refer to the operating instructions of the modem.
5.2 Installation of Control Software VPlus
The control software VPlus is suitable for 32-Bit Windows operating systems. The
control software VPlus uses the modem settings of the operating system.
•
The installation routine of the control software VPlus will ask you automatically to
install the software after you inserted the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
If not, click on the "Start" button, select "Run" and enter “[CD-ROM-
drive]:\setup.exe” (e.g. “D:\setup.exe") in the dialog box.
5.3 Setting the Dialing Parameters
The dialing parameters of the modem installed can be viewed and edited, if necessary,
via the telephone and modem options in the control panel of the operating system
(e.g. additional "0" if modem is connected to a PBX).
