1. Machine parameters
A
new
machine parameter
MP
17 which pennits optional assignment
of
the MTB keys on the
manual panel with
Ne
or
PlC
fUnctions
has been introduced in Stage 4.
The parameter can
be
assigned values between 0 and 15. The value specifies the number
of
Ne
keys. If compatibility
with
version
:r;£
Stage 3
is
to be retained, the number
10
must
be
entered
in
these
parameters.
The upper
10
keys
of the manual panel are
then
assigned
Ne
functions, and
the
other
keys
set
bits
in
the
PlC.
2.
Write protection
There are
lINo
write protection switches on the control. One is accessible on the front panel
of
the
CP/MEM module (machine parameters).
The
second is mounted
on
the
PlC
board (PlC program).
If one of
the
switches or both switches
is
or
are not switched
to
write
protection, the control
signals this after power-up
or
after the Reset key on the power supply unit is pressed. One
or
both
corresponding error messages are displayed, with softkey -PRESS
TO
CONTNUE"
which must
be pressed (see Figure). After acknowledgment
by
the softkeys, the control reverses to group
operating mode Machine.
If both switches are active, the control reverts directly
to
group operating
mode
