About
system
constraints
The
MiniDisc
(MD)
system
uses
a
different
method
for
recording
than
traditional
cassettes
and
DATs.
Therefore,
there
are
some
system
limitations,
and
the
following
symptoms
may
occur.
Please
note
that
these
are
not
malfunctions.
"Disc
Full”
is
displayed
even
if
the
maximum
recording
time
has
nat
been
reached
With
the
MD
system,
"Disc
Full"
will
be
displayed
when
the
number
of
songs
is
full,
regardless
of
the
time.
You
cannot
record
more
than
255
songs.
To
add
more
songs,
either
delete
the
unnecessary
songs
or
record
them
on
a
second
disc.
"Disc
Full”
is
displayed
even
though
there
is
sufficient
number
of
songs
and
recording
time,
Ifemphasis
information,
etc.
is
turned
on
and
off
a
lot
during
a
song,
it
will
be
treated
as
a
break
in
the
song,
and
the
message
<
"Disc
Full"
wil
appear
regardless
of
the
time
or
number
of
songs.
‘*The
remaining
time
on
the
disc
does
not
increase
no
matter
how
many
short
songs
|
delete.
When
displaying
the
remaining
time
on
a
disc,
portions
of
8
seconds
or
less
are
ignored,
so
even
if
you
delete
a
short
song,
the
time
may
not
be
added.
@
't
may
not
be
possible
to
connect.
Songs
created
through
editing
may
not
be
able
to
be
connected,
The
total
time
recorded
on
the
disc
and
the
remaining
time
may
not
match
the
maximum
recordable
time.
Usually
one
cluster
(approximately
2
seconds)
is
recorded
in
minimum
units.
Anything
less
than
that
will
still
take
up
2
seconds
of
space.
This
reduces
the
amount
of
time
that
can
actually
be
used.
Additionally,
if
there
is
a
scratch
on
the
disc,
the
scratched
part
will
be
automatically
deleted,
saving
you
time.
When
searching
for
a
song
that
has
been
edited,
the
sound
may
be
interrupted
Track
numbers
may
not
be
assigned
accurately.
When
recording
a
CD
using
a
digital
connection,
short
songs
may
be
created
depending
on
the
recorded
content
of
the
CD.
Also,
when
track
marking
is
performed
automatically
using
the
auto
mark
function,
the
track
number
may
not
be
assigned
accurately
depending
on
the
content
of
what
is
being
recorded.
@
The
"TOC
Reading’
display
does
not
disappear
easily.
When
you
insert
a
newly
purchased
recording
disc,
the
"TOC
Reading”
display
will
appear
longer
than
usual
