If your Bose Speakers' power LED is on, but there's no sound, ensure the Volume control is turned up on the Power Stand and on your instrument. Verify that your instrument or audio source is plugged into the correct input jack. You might also try connecting your instrument or audio source to the Power Stand using a different cable.

How to stop microphone feedback on Bose Speakers?
S
sjohnsonAug 2, 2025
If your Bose Speakers' microphone is producing feedback, try repositioning the microphone so that it doesn't point directly at the L1® Compact Loudspeaker array. Also, consider positioning the microphone close to your lips or testing a different microphone. Adjusting the position of the L1® Compact Portable Line Array System, the vocalist on stage, or increasing the distance between the loudspeaker and microphone may also help. If you're using a vocal effects processor, ensure it isn't contributing to the feedback.

If your instrument or audio source sounds distorted through your Bose Speakers, try lowering the volume of the connected audio source. If you're using an external mixer, ensure that the equalization controls for low, mid, and high are set to the mid position and reduce the output of the mixer.

D
donpenningtonAug 13, 2025
If your Bose Speakers' system is plugged in and the power switch is on, but the power LED is off, ensure you're using the included L1® Compact Power Stand power cable and that it's fully engaged into both the Power Stand and the AC outlet. Make sure the AC outlet has power by testing it with a lamp or other equipment. You can also try a different power cable or, if available, a different Power Stand.

Why are middle and high frequencies absent from my Bose Speakers?
L
Lisa GomezAug 20, 2025
If middle to high frequencies are absent from the L1® Compact Loudspeaker Array of your Bose Speakers, when in the collapsed position, always place the system on a tabletop so it is level with the listeners’ ears. Also, verify that the L1® Compact Extensions and L1® Compact Loudspeaker Array are firmly seated in their connectors and that the connections are not bent or broken. Cleaning the contacts on the loudspeaker top and bottom with electronic contact spray cleaner can also help.
