CAUTION: The wrench is torque limiting, such that the Setscrew cannot be over
tightened. Use only the wrench provided, as other tools may over-
tighten the Setscrew and damage the DBS Lead.

desired DBS Extension connector location.
Note: Boston Scientic recommends placing the DBS Extension connector behind
the ear.
CAUTION: Placement of the DBS Extension connector in the neck region can increase
the risk of device failure due to repetitive movement of the neck.
f. Create a pocket under the skin for the excess DBS Lead and Lead Boot.
g. Coil excess DBS Lead material under the scalp, in the pocket, until it is ready
to be connected to the DBS Extension.
Note: The DBS Lead may be connected to the DBS Extension and Stimulator during
a separate surgery at a later time. See Stimulator Implantation on page 24.
12. Repeat the Implanting the DBS Lead procedure for the second DBS Lead.
