8 Brake camshaft
8 Arbre à came
8.1 LOW MAINTENANCE CAMSHAFT
BEARING FROM DATE OF
MANUFACTURE 10/2000:
 Remove the wheel/hub unit and brake
shoes, see sections 4.1 and 4.2.
[1] Unscrew nut of brake camshaft.
Remove the wear sensor.
[2] Remove slack adjuster with disc.
[3] Open clamp on rubber seal, if fitted.
[4] Pull the pushedon bush off the brake camshaft.
[5] Undo screws and remove bearing housing.
Check the spherical bearing in the support
bearing and the two sealing rings for wear
(max. bearing play 0.8 mm).
[6] Push the rubber seal with circlip to the middle
of the brake camshaft.
[7] Remove circlip from the groove.
Take brake camshaft out of the brake anchor
plate.
8.1 PALIER D’ARBRE À CAME DE FREIN
À ENTRETIEN RÉDUIT DEPUIS
L’ANNÉE DE FABRICATION 10/2000 :
 Démonter l'unité roue-moyeu et les mâchoires
de frein, voir chapitres 4.1 et 4.2.
[1] Dévisser l’écrou de l’arbre à came.
Déposer le capteur d'usure.
[2] Déposer le levier de frein avec disque.
[3] Ouvrir tous le circlip des joint de caoutchouc.
[4] Arracher la douille enfilée sur l'arbre à cames.
[5] Dévisser les vis de fixation et déposer le
support de palier.
Contrôler l'usure de la douille sphérique dans
l'appui d'arbre à cames avec les deux joints
(jeu du palier max. 0,8 mm).
[6] Pousser le joint caoutchouc ainsi que le circlip
vers le milieu de l'arbre à cames.
[7] Retirer la bague d’arrêt de la rainure.
Sortir l’arbre à came du support de frein.
