Confirm your network environment
The setup process will be different depending on your network environment.
îš„ Installation using SecureEasySetupâ„¢.
If your wireless access point (A) supports SecureEasySetupâ„¢, you do not need to use a computer to
configure the printer. The access point (router) and your printer can automatically negotiate using the
SecureEasySetupâ„¢ procedure.

Installation temporarily using a network cable.
If there is an Ethernet Hub or Router in the same network as the wireless access point of your printer, you
can temporarily connect the Hub or Router to the printer using an Ethernet cable
(B), this is an easy way to
configure the printer. You can then remotely configure the printer from a computer on the network.

Installation using a wireless computer.
If a computer of yours has wireless capability, you will need to change the wireless settings of the computer
to Ad-hoc mode so you can directly connect and configure the printer.

You can also configure the wireless settings of your printer, by using the control panel.
