  If your Brother All in One Printer doesn't detect the new ink cartridge, it might be due to a couple of reasons: * You may have installed the new ink cartridge too quickly. Remove the new ink cartridge and reinstall it slowly and firmly until it latches. * If you are not using a Genuine Brother Innobella™ ink cartridge, the machine might not detect it. Try using a new Genuine Brother Innobella™ Ink Cartridge. If the error persists, contact Brother Customer Service.

Note that the printer will stop all print operations until you install a new ink cartridge if you unplug the printer or take out the ink cartridge, if the paper type is set to anything except Plain Paper or Inkjet Paper, or if you select Slow Drying Paper in the printer driver settings.
