4 Press r (OR press n) to apply the setting.
Tape length function
(T. LENGTH)
Although the length of the printed label auto-
matically adjusts to fit the length of the entered
text, there may be times when you will want to
make a label with a specific length. The Tape
length function allows you to set the label length
between 0.6 cm and 99.5 cm.
The current Tape length setting is shown in the
lower-left corner of the display.
To change the setting for the Tape length
function:
1 Select GLOBAL FORMAT (OR hold down
d and press 1) as described on
page 24.
2 Rotate r until T. LENGTH is displayed, and
then press r (OR press j or k until T.
LENGTH is displayed). The current setting is
shown on the left side of the display.
3 Rotate r (OR press m or g) until the
desired setting is displayed, or use the
number keys to type in the desired tape
length.
4 Press r (OR press n) to apply the setting.
NOTE
☞ To return the function to its default setting (0.4
cm), press the space bar.
☞ To change the setting in 1.0 cm steps, hold
down either m or g, and then release the key
when the desired setting is displayed.
☞ To return to the text without changing the for-
matting, press e (OR hold down d and
press 1).
NOTE
If r is used to select the settings, only one function
can be set at a time. To apply several format settings
at the same time, press j or k to select the func-
tion, and then press m or g to select the desired
setting. Press n only after the necessary functions
have been set.

bal Format functions are being applied at the same
time.
