9.10 Setting summer/winter changeover
If your heating system is in automatic mode (LED next to the "AUT"
button illuminated), the RC30 performs the summer/winter
changeover automatically. In summer mode the heating is
switched off and only DHW is heated. In winter mode the heating
and DHW are activitated.
Automatic summer/winter changeover depends on the following
factors:
Outside temperature
Type of construction/thermal insulation
The "adjusted" outside temperature is calculated from the outside
temperature and the thermal insulation of your home (Fig. 14).
The adjusted outside temperature is a theoretical variable
calculated by the RC30, which takes into account the heat storage
capacity of the walls. For example, with an outside temperature of
10 °C and the heating switched off, the temperature inside the
home can still be 16 °C. The inside temperature falls slowly.
