Acoustic vehicle alerting system
System functions
The acoustic vehicle alerting system
(AVAS) is also called "engine simulator
system", which provides alerting sound
to signal the vehicle's presence to
nearby vehicles and pedestrians when
the vehicle is running at a low speed.
■ When the vehicle runs at a low speed, it will produce proper alerting sound
to alert the pedestrians.
■ When the vehicle moves forward:
● If the vehicle speed (V) is in the range of 0 km/h < V ≤ 20 km/h, the
alerting sound will become louder with the increase of vehicle speed;
● If the vehicle speed (V) is in the range of 20 km/h < V ≤ 30km/h, the
alerting sound will become softer with the increase of vehicle speed;
