7.4. GLASS CLEANING
The ceramic glass of the fire door resists heat to 700°C but not sudden changes in temperature. In order
to avoid glass explosion clean with commercial products for glass when it is completely cold. If the glass
breaks it must be replaced before using the stove again. Proceed as follows to replace the glass (see
Picture 1, page 62).
a) Loosen the 3 screws of each glass holder (A).
b) Remove the damaged glass and replace only with an original spare (15). Make sure the gasket is in
good condition; replace if necessary.
c) Tighten the screws on the two glass holders.
7.5. DAILY CLEANING OF BURN POT-ASH PAN
The burn pot must be cleaned every day.
Open the door with the stove off.
Remove the burn pot (M) from its seat, empty the ash
and if necessary clean out any encrusted holes using a
pointed object.
Place ash in a metal container with sealed lid. Never let the container come into contact with
combustible material (e.g. on a wooden floor) because the ash stays hot for a long time. Only when the
ash has gone out completely throw it in with organic waste.
Clean and vacuum any accumulated ash from inside the
burn pot seat (detail M).
Clean the pellet collection hole with a small brush.
Frequency of cleaning depends on the type of pellets.
Take note if the flame becomes red, is weak, or releases
black smoke because this means the burn pot is encrusted
and needs cleaning. Replace when worn (see paragraph
9.3, page 87).
