Purpose
TheMultifunctionElectricalPowerSupplyisacombinationofanautomatic
chargerandavoltagebooster.Itisusedtosupplyelectricalpowerat12 V,and
forcharging12 V lead-acidaccumulatorsconsistingofsixindividualcellswith
abatterycapacityofbetween60and120 Ah(e.g.carbatteries).
Itcanbeusedanywhere,andhasbeendesignedforcontinuousoperation.
TheEVSisparticularlysuitableforuseinmobilehomes.Itisequallysuitable
forbatterieswithgelandliquidelectrolytes.
Inappropriateuse
TheEVSmustnotbeusedtocharge6 V lead-acidbatteries.Ifbatterieswitha
ratedvoltageof6voltarechargedwiththeEVS,gasiscreatedimmediately.
Explosiveoxyhydrogengasisgenerated.
TheEVSmustnotbeusedtochargenon-rechargeablebatteriesand/ornickel-
cadmiumbatteries.
WhenchargingthesebatterytypeswiththeEVS,theoutercovermayrupture
explosively.
Themultifunctionelectricalpowersupplyemploysthelatestchargingtechno-
logy. Thistechnologypermitshighoutputtogetherwithlowweightandsmall
dimensions.Byusinghigh-qualityelectronics,itworkswithalmostnopower
loss.
Automaticchargingaffordsprotectionandpreventsharmfulbatteryoverload.
Thisconsiderablyextendsthelifeofthebattery.
TheEVShasachargingoutputforthesupplybattery. Whenoperating,the
controlelectronicschecksthebattery'sterminalvoltageandwhetherthebattery
isconnectedwiththeproperpolarity.
TheEVSisdesignedforparalleloperationandbufferoperation. Atalltimes,
consumerscanremainconnected,beaddedorswitchedoff.Consumersare
suppliedwiththepowerandthebatteryischargedatthesametime.Current
