Introducing+the+C a lix +E 7420+
The Calix E7-20 Ethernet service access platform is a Large Form Factor (LFF) chassis that
delivers high-performance Ethernet-based transport, aggregation, and FTTP services from a
controlled environment deployment.
The wide array of high-performance applications delivered by the E7-20 includes 10GE
Ethernet transport, high-density residential triple play services over GPON, AE, and point-
to-point Ethernet, Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) compliant business services, mobile
backhaul, and protected GE aggregation.
The Calix E7-20 system consists of the following components:
!! Removable Fan Tray Assembly (FTA)
!! SCP (Switch Control Processors)
!! Removable Fiber-Management System
The vertical size of the LFF chassis permits placement of 3 LFF chassis in a 7-foot rack, with
at least 4RU height left over for power panels or other equipment.
