3.14 INFRARED PANEL HEATING LAMP (OPTIONAL)
Description of unit
The machine can be tted with a 600 W infrared lamp mounted after the pre-milling unit, allowing
panels to be heated to ensure better glueing of the edge.
Operation
The infrared lamp (Fig. 3.14) raises the temperature of the side of the panel on which the edge is
applied.
This panel heating prevents the glue temperature from suddenly falling before the panel meets the
edge. It also facilitates the application of wooden edge strips of any thickness. Lamp operation is
enabled with button 2 (ON/OFF) on the control panel, and it is turned on only when a panel is pre-
sent.
When the lamp is activated, the “IR” message appears on the display.
Maintenance: cleaning and lubrication.
The infrared lamp does not require any particular maintenance, but it is good practice to keep it cle-
an, taking care to avoid its high operating temperature.
