2.5 COMPRESSED AIR CONNECTION
On the left-hand side of the machine there is a lter/pressure regulator complete with a discharge valve for
condensation water and a quick-t hose joint (A, Fig. 2.5.2).
The compressed air must have been previously dehumidied and ltered, reaching the connection point
with a pressure of at least 7-8 bar.
-ALWAYS CONNECT THE MACHINE TO THE COMPRESSED AIR SUPPLY
The pressure regulator (C) is factory-set at 6.5 bar. The machine is adjusted and tested with this pressure.
Before proceeding with maintenance operations of any kind, in addition to electrically isolating the machine,
the compressed air supply must also be cut off, by disconnecting the quick-t connector.
The compressed air system requires no lubrication!
The use of lubricating oil can damage several compressed air system components!
Lubrication, and in particular with some types of oil, can seriously damage the machine and affect
its operation.
Never add lubrication oil to the condensation collection container.
Condensation water is automatically discharged every time that the pressurized air supply to the pressure
regulator unit is interrupted.
NEVER connect the machine to a compressed air system using a supply hose with an internal
diameter of less than 4 mm.
2.6 CONNECTING THE DUST EXTRACTION SYSTEM
The machine has a centralized suction mouth with Ø 120 mm (N, Fig. 2.5.2). When using the machine, the
dust extraction system must always be running.
For correct operation, the speed of the airow at the suction mouths must be at least 20 m/sec.
If the optional glue pot PUR/EVA is present, connect the machine to a smoke extraction system suitable for
application using the outlet connection O (see the glue’s technical information sheet in the attachments).
CAUTION: never connect this outlet connection to the edge chips extraction system!
NB: The quality of edging operations, the satisfactory operation of the machine and its long
lifespan depend on the efciency of the dust extraction system.
