1.5 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Before using the machine, in your own interest it is advisable to consult this manual supplied with
every machine, and to dedicate particular attention to the recommended safety precautions.
* This machine has been designed and constructed to give maximum performance combined with
the maximum safety.
* Your safety depends directly on your own actions. Any kind of work with machine tools always
exposes the user to signicant risks, and this must always be taken into consideration.
* Always concentrate your attention on the job being done.
* The person using the machine must have at least the minimum age as required by local law for the
type of work to be done with this type of machine.
* Experience indicates that clothing that increases the risks of accidents, and such clothing must be
avoided. Take care with bracelets, watches, necklaces, etc. Fasten all buttons correctly, do not
wear ties, and tie back long hair.
* Wear the footwear indicated by legal requirements, and use protective goggles.
* The workplace above and around the machine must always be clean, free from obstacles and well lit.
* Use the machine only for the type of work for which it was designed and constructed.
* It is compulsory to use the safety devices tted on the machine, and these must never be removed,
modied or damaged. The manufacturer of the machine declines all liability in the case of
modications to safety devices.
* All operations on electrical components must be made only by specialized technicians.
* Maintenance operations must be carried out only with the machine switched off, with the main
electrical switch set to 0 (zero), locked and with the compressed air supply hose disconnected at
the quick-t joint, and with the certainty that the machine can be switched on only by authorized
persons.
* Check that tools have been correctly sharpened and balanced.
* Use only tools conforming to the harmonized EN 847.1 standard, in excellent condition. Never use
a hammer.
* Screws and other fasteners must be tightened with a force proportional to their dimension. Never
use levers or other systems to increase the force applied. Use only the wrenches supplied with the
machine or tools of a similar design. Do not use a hammer to lock or release tools.
* The liquids for cooling and lubrication used in this machine are corrosive and toxic, refer to the
technical information sheet for precautionary information. Moreover, if the optional glue pot PUR /
EVA is present, the machine is tted with a outlet connection to connect the machine to a suitable
and efcient smoke extraction system.
