After the rst 160 hours of operation and then every 800 hours, check chain tension.
If it needs to be tightened, do this using the screws as follows:
- slacken nut D;
- unscrew screws V to tighten the chain until the correct tension is reached;
- tighten nut D.
The chain is correctly tightened when it is impossible to lift it manually more than 15–20 mm from the
central position.
- CAUTION: Excessive tightening may irreparably damage the chain.
Every 40 hours of operation, lubricate the chain using AGIP GR MU EP 1 grease or an equivalent product
(see technical information sheet in the attachments).
To access the chain, with the machine turned off, remove the protection cover Q.
Start the feed and lubricate the chain, taking great care to avoid accidents while moving mechanical parts.
After tensioning the chain verify the tensioning lifting the feed with the upper bar completely lifted. It must
be impossible to lift it more than 15–20 mm at the centre of the feed.
