E550 - E550 CR - E550 PM - E550 PM CR Automatic Single-Side Edgebander Rel. 1.1.1
Factory calibrations that do not normally require changing
• Speed of unit movement on 45° guide A g. 1.1b and on transversal guide B g. 1.1b and that of copy la
the on longitudinal guide C g. 1.1b.
Any changes can be made by means of the ow adjusters D g. 1.1b for the unit. Changes can be made
to the copy lathe by means of the regulators E g. 1.1b located inside the compressed-air panel of the
machine.
• Front trim copying force by means of the pressure regulator F g. 1.1b located inside the compressed-air
panel: always remember that when the pressure is increased, the copying force is reduced and vice versa;
trim adjustment must also be made at the same time.
• The horizontal perpendicularity of the blade with respect to the panel. Adjustment can be made by loose
ning the nuts F g. 1.1a and the dowels G g. 1.1a; The trim must also be adjusted at the same time.
• The vertical perpendicularity of the blade with respect to the panel. Adjustment can be made by loosening
the nuts F g. 1.1a and the eccentric dowels H g. 1.1a; the trim must also be adjusted at the same time.
• Penetration of blade on panel for straight trim. If necessary, adjust the ring nut G g. 1.1b (G diagram S1)
according to diagram S1. To quantify the adjustment, remember that ¼ of a turn corresponds to a shift of
0.25 mm
It is advisable to only make these adjustments after ruling out all possible causes of malfunction: unit not
lubricated, dirty and/or worn blades, not enough compressed air, edge residues which could hamper mo-
vements,
etc.
Adjustment of straight trim at 0°
• For the front trim, adjust the stop L g. 1.1b (L diagram S1) according to diagram S1
• For the rear trim, adjust the stop M g. 1.1b (M diagram S1) according to diagram S1
• To quantify the adjustment, remember that ¼ turn corresponds to a shift of 0.25 mm
Adjustment of radius trim
• For the front trim, adjust the stop H g. 1.1b (H diagram S1) according to diagram S1
• For the rear trim, adjust the stop I g. 1.1b (I diagram S1) according to diagram S1
• To quantify the adjustment, remember that ¼ turn corresponds to a shift of 0.25 mm
Tool replacement
To replace the blades:
• Set the machine master switch at 0
• Disconnect the compressed-air supply to the machine
• Put on protective gloves
• Remove the extraction hood M g. 1.1a fastened with the three screws E g. 1.1a
• Block the rotation of the motor shaft by means of a hex wrench in seat I g. 1.1a; remove the nut L
g. 1.1a (LH thread)
• Remove the ange N g. 1.1a and the blades C and D g. 1.1a.
• Fit the blades back on in the reverse sequence being very careful that they are in the right direction,
arrow O g. 1.1a and that the coupled parts are perfectly clean
• Make sure the blades are turning freely, without any swinging, before and after tting the extraction
hood.
