Follow these guidelines when cleaning and disinfecting the BA.
The BA should be pressurized during cleaning operations to prevent water entering
the pressure reducer through the high pressure air inlet or whistle fluke.'
Do not use alcohol, acetone, trichloroethylene, organic solvents such as nitrous
solution, spirits, thinners or petrol.
Flush thoroughly with clear, flowing water of drinkable quality.
The temperature of the water used for cleaning must not exceed 43°C.
Do not use chemical cleaning as it will damage the foam fillings.
Clean hoses, pressure reducer and control module by hand.
Keep the hoses connected to the pressure reducer when cleaning it.
Water penetrating the BA can potential cause icing inside the demand
valve it. Therefore, the BA must be thoroughly dried.
Cleaning
If the BA is contaminated with combustible products it must be cleaned and
washed using a mild cleaning detergent in tepid of drinkable quality water,
then rinsed thoroughly.
Do not use any cleaning products that can or might attack any part of the BA.
Do not use alcohol, acetone, trichloroethylene, organic solvents such as
nitrous dilution, spirits, thinners, gasoline or petrol.
