MSA G1 Electronic Breathing Apparatus
The G1 E is a pressure-demand BA, operating independently of the ambient air for
use
in atmospheres immediately dangerous to life or health.

Radio frequency identification chip
The MSA G1 E has radio frequency identifier (RFID) chips located throughout the set.
These chips are indicated by the RFID symbol.

Passive RFID chips
The RFID reader allows information to be written to the BA, communicate with
other
systems and as an asset management function.
There are seven passive
RFID chips located over the entire BA, including two on the
cylinder. At present there is no electronic asset management system in place to utilise
these
chips.
