MSA G1 Electronic Breathing Apparatus
Follow these steps to inspect all the components of the BA.
Step Description Illustration
1. Carrier frame and harness.
1.1 Check the quick release buckle on the cylinder retaining strap and if a cylinder
is attached check that it is holding the cylinder correctly.
1.2 If a cylinder attached check that the green hand
wheel is closed finger tight.
1.3 Check the piezo alarm speakers are clean and free of debris.
1.4 Inspect the mechanical whistle for damage or
blockages.
1.5 Check the hose and housing (power module and pressure reducer are securely
attached).
1.6 Check that the battery is in place and secure.
1.7 Check that the shoulder and waist straps are
extended.
1.8 Check that the shoulder tunnel press studs are closed.
